Indeed. The four flights there and back cost me €80, accommodation for the last two nights €38 per night including a splendid breakfast, all manner of wonderful goodies for surprisingly little money at every local caffeterria, reasonable car hire, warm but not too warm and sun not yet so high that you get burned to a frazzle.

In short, Italy in the spring is terrible and to be avoided.
